The Chinese Smartphone player Xiaomi’s unannounced RedMi Note 2 has surfaced online yet again. An alleged photo showing off the upper part of the back panel, focusing mainly on the camera module of the RedMi Note 2 has been posted by GSMDome. The photo shows an 8-megapixel camera module.

The image shows the back of the handset and looks like a rubberised finish on what could be a complete plastic construction. Xiaomi is known for building quality handsets so we do think that they have the ability to pull off a plastic build pretty well. What is also visible is the LED flash unit along with the vertically placed ‘8.0 MP’ camera branding, alongside the camera lens.

The placement of logo and even the look of the camera are pretty different from what has been on the current generation Xiaomi Smartphones.

This device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615, a 64-bit octa-core processor. 2GB of RAM will allegedly also be a part of this package as well as a 13-megapixel camera. 5.5-inch 1080p display will allegedly be its screen size and the device will ship with a 3500mAh battery. This will also be a dual-SIM capable device and will sport 4G LTE connectivity. Its price is sub-1499 Yuan ($245) according to the source.

HTC has already confirmed that they’re planning on getting the Android 5.0 update out to the HTC One M7 and M8 but a leaked roadmap has showed that what units will obtain the update. HTC had pronounced that a One and One (M8) will accept Android 5.0 Lollipop refurbish within 90 days of receiving a final program from Google.

HTC M7 and M8, Desire Eye, Butterfly 2, and the HTC One E8 are expected receive update between January to March. The HTC One Mini 2 and Desire 816 are slated for a March/April update, and the One Max, unique One Mini, and the Butterfly O are in-line to receive the update between March to May time frame.

A Vietnamese retailer has leaked the design, pricing, and specifications of Microsoft’s rumoured selfie-focused smartphone.

WMpoweruser, citing a Vietnamese publication , claims that the anticipated Lumia 730 will be available by the end of this month in that country and will be priced at VND 5,000,000 (Rs. 14,500 approximately).

The leaked Lumia 730 image appears to be promotional material, which rather shows a handset in organge color, however, only the rear camera is visible with no Carl Zeiss branding. Last week, an alleged Lumia 730 leaked in Green color variant and also showed one of the unannounced handset running on “Lumia Debian Red” version of Windows Phone. Speculated to be the country’s version of Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1, expected to be available to the general public later this year.

Micromax is all set to announce the launch of a hexa-core smartphone named Micromax A190. Micromax A190 is coming with a 5 inch HD display with a resolution 1280×720 pixels. It is said that the handset will arrive powered by 1.5 GHz hexa-core MediaTek MT6591 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. Fueled by Android 4.4.2 KitKat, will feature an 8 MP main camera with LED flash, 2 MP front-facer, 8 GB of internal storage space and a 2,000 mAh battery.

The device will be available in Black and white colour variants and there are no details regarding the official launch of the Micromax A190 Android Smartphone.

Sony has just confirmed that it will launch a ‘selfie’ Xperia phone tomorrow. The company has released a tweet on Twitter that reads “See your #selfies in a whole new light”. Sony quickly followed with an official tease of their own via Twitter that all but confirms the arrival of the new device on July 8^th.

According to images leaked on Weibo, the smartphone’s selfie feature will come in the form of a front-facing LED flash alongside the camera. The Sony Xperia C3 is said to come with a 2,500mAh battery, 5-inch display on board and comes in light green.

With the selfie craze reaching critical mass, it isn’t that bizarre of a move on Sony’s part. Several other manufacturers have made strides in improving the front-facing cameras found on their phones with selfies in mind.

A new image of the much rumored Moto X+1 has leaked showing what appears to be the device sitting inside a case made for the phone. The device looks pretty plain and simple.

The latest leak is a courtesy of @evleaks, and it shows an alleged picture of the Moto X+1.

Front of the leaked image shows a design similar to Moto E, with two speaker grills (top and bottom) and the Android UI.

Back of the leaked image of the device shows a camera without flash, one small hole visible above the camera, and a similar hole at the centre bottom.

Motorola is rumoured to launch the Moto X+1 alongside the Moto 360 in a few weeks. It is also rumoured that the manufacturer will club the two devices together as a single product.
