Samsung sent out an invite claiming they would be launching “Next Generation Stylephone.” It is assumed that the phone is Galaxy Alpha that Samsung released in the international markets in August.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is making its way to the U.S. and will be available exclusively on AT&T. The new device by Samsung Electronics Inc. is the manufacturer’s first smartphone to introduce metal into its design.

Samsung sent out an invite claiming they would be launching “Next Generation Stylephone.” It is assumed that the phone is Galaxy Alpha that Samsung released in the international markets in August.

The device will be available on AT&T for $199.99 with a two-year contract starting Sept. 26. Customers can also purchase the Galaxy Alpha with AT&T Next installment plans, for $25.55 per month for 18 months or $30.65 per month for 12 months. Off-contract, the Galaxy Alpha will sell for $612.99.

The Galaxy Alpha includes a 2.5GHz quad-core chip, 32GB of internal storage, a 12-megapixel main camera and 2.1 megapixel front camera. Unlike the Galaxy flagships, the Galaxy Alpha includes a lower-resolution 4.7-inch 1280×720 Super AMOLED display.

AT&T will sell the Samsung Galaxy Alpha in Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, and Frosted Gold.

Microsoft has officially launched the Xbox One, its latest generation gaming console in India. The Xbox One is being exclusively sold through Amazon.in

Pre-orders for the Xbox One (Review) began on August 6, exclusively via Amazon.in. The Xbox One (without Kinect) is priced at Rs. 39,990, and the Xbox One + Kinect Day One Edition is priced at Rs. 45,990. Users who pre-ordered the Xbox One on Amazon.in get FIFA 15 bundled for free, while those who pre-ordered the Xbox One with Kinect will get Dance Central Spotlight as well.

The Xbox One brings some exclusive games line up including Forza Horizon 2, Forza Motorsport 5, Dead Rising 3 and Ryse: Son of Rome. Popular third-party games will also be available on Xbox One with early exclusivity for downloadable content in “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare,” “FIFA 14,” “Battlefield 4” and more. Some major launches such as “Halo-The Master Chief Collection and “Sunset Overdrive” are also expected on the One this year.

HTC is sending out media invites for an event on September 23 where it is expected to launch Desire 820 in India. The midrange phone was announced this month at IFA in Berlin, Germany.

At IFA 2014 this month, HTC has officially announced Desire 820, as the company’s first smartphone model to feature a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with integrated 4G LTE Cat.4 connectivity option. HTC Desire 820 features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. The smartphone packs a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC (1.5GHz quad-core + 1.0GHz quad-core) coupled with 2GB of RAM. Packs a 13-megapixel (with f/2.2 lens) rear facing camera with LED flash and BSI sensor, apart from an 8MP secondary front-facing camera. The smartphone comes with 16GB of internal phone storage, which can further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card support. It measures 157.7×78.74×7.74mm and weighs 155 grams.

The phablet will be available in multiple colours like red, pink, blue, white and black. It also supports HTC’s Dot View case that offers instant access to your device without the need to open the cover.

Google has now began sending invites out telling us to “block your date for an exciting new announcement from Google.” The event will take place on September 15th in India, and while there’s no guarantee that Google plans to formally out the first crop of Android One handsets.

Sundar Pichai, Senior Vice President, Android, Chrome and Apps at Google said -

“Mountain View-based company will not subsidise Android One hardware. Instead, Pichai hoped that the by sharing resources between Google and the OEMs, the companies would be able to keep the total cost of manufacturing in check.”

The goal of Android One is to bring “high-quality, affordable” smartphones to the developing world, starting with India and moving on to other locations if the strategy proves successful.

Android One means these consumers will have an option that is still extremely affordable, but has fewer compromises when it comes to the software.

Google might surprise everyone as Google will be revealing more details in the following days.

Apple has sent out invites for an event on September 9. The invite just have Apple’s logo with the date on top of it and caption “wish we could say more.”

Apple will very likely introduce two new iPhones: 4.7-inch screen and  5.5-inch screen variants. Recent reports also claimed that we will see Apple’s first wearable device iWatch revealed during the event.

Although there are no official iPhone 6 event invitations shared with the public it appears Apple is in communication with business partners and other connected individuals to prepare for an event that takes place in less than two weeks.

The next generation of gadgets will incorporate new software features such as HomeKit, which will help manage connected devices within the home, and HealthKit, a central repository of health data and services.

Apple will unveil a smartwatch alongside the iPhone 6 on September 9, according to reports. The technology giant is expected to launch the iWatch at a “big” media event next month.

The wearable device could utilize the Home Kit function on Apple’s new iOS 8 operating system, potentially allowing users to control lights and garage doors wherever they are in the house. The iWatch is also expected to be compatible with Apple’s Health app, which collects a user’s fitness and well being data, such as heart rate, from multiple sources and brings it together on one prominent screen.

Though Apple has plans to introduce a wearable device in September, there is no word on when the device might ship. It is likely the device will be shown several months before it will be available to consumers.

Apple’s upcoming wearable device has been frequently referred to as the iWatch by both MacRumors and other rumor sites, but it remains unclear what Apple will call the device at launch. It is expected to be a wrist worn device, however, and rumors have suggested that it will come in multiple sizes with several different designs available at multiple price points.

Apple will look to announce the iPhone 6 on Monday, September 15th ahead of a launch on Thursday, September 25.

Reports also claimed that the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 – 32GB variant will cost CNY 5,288 (approximately Rs. 50,800), while the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 – 16GB variant will be priced at CNY 5,998 (approximately Rs. 57,600). This would also imply the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 – 32GB variant is cheaper than the current 4-inch iPhone 5s – 16GB variant, which costs CNY 5,300.

Apart from larger display, the iPhone 6 is coming with a thinner profile, a faster A8 processor, and other new features such as complete redesign relocated sleep/wake button. The camera of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 is also said to have an optical image stabilization system, while the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone will use a new lens module.
