BlackBerry App Updates – bought stickers and support for sending large files
Blackberry on Tuesday released an update for their BBM app on both Android and iOS mobile operating systems, that brings with it a bunch of cool new features.
The biggest addition in today’s BlackBerry Messenger update is the BBM Shop, which houses sticker packs that users can buy and then use in their chats. Sticker packs contain between 20 and 25 stickers that’ve been designed by artists and also relate to popular brands like Shaun the Sheep and the WWE, the latter of which is giving away a sticker pack to celebrate the upcoming WrestleMania 30 pay-per-view. Other packs are available for free or $1.99 and are paid for through a device’s app store.
David Proulx, Senior Director, BBM at BlackBerry said, “Stickers let you personalize your chats and strike the right chord with people around the world who rely on stickers in chats when they connect with colleagues, family, friends, peers and partners.” Users can also purchase sticker packs from the newly introduced BBM Shop. The app also adds the ability to send large files including images, up to a size of 16mb.
Changes highlighted are -
- BBM chats with the introduction of stickers available in the new BBM Shop.
- Larger files can be sent(up to 16MB on BlackBerry 10, Android and iPhone).
- Multi-person chats making it easy to send pictures several people and chat about it together.
