Nexus 10 changed its status to “Coming Soon” on Google Play
Google’s Nexus 10 tablet sold out on Google Play months ago, around the time of the Nexus 5′s introduction. Since, its store pages have almost always contained some form of “we are out of inventory” or “check back later,” like most Google products do when they sell out or are about to be replaced. Today, though, those listings changed and now say “Coming soon” in the area that typically lists out shipping info. The prices for the 16GB and 32GB are also back at $399 and $499, respectively.
There is still no definitive word on what to expect, but the Google Play listing for the Nexus 10 has finally changed from “out of inventory” to “coming soon”. There’s no real way to know when the tablet will be back on sale, but it does seem to indicate that there may not be a new version of the Nexus 10 coming out soon. Nothing else on the page would even indicate that there is a refreshed version of the Nexus 10 coming. It looks to be the same tablet that we all know.
The Nexus 10, which launched back in November of 2012, is long overdue for a refresh, one that rumors once suggested could have ASUS doing the honors this time around. While that seems to still be up in the air at this point (along with rumors of an 8-inch Nexus 8) we imagine Google may have more to reveal during this year’s Google I/O 2014.
