Airtel launched fastest download speed dongle with 21.6 mbps connectivity

Bharti Airtel, has launched a 3G Wi-Fi dongle that enables downloads of up to 21.6 mbps. Users can create a Wi-Fi hotspot by plugging it into a laptop, phone charger or a car stereo. This can be shared with up to 5 devices simultaneously. It also has a microSD card slot and comes with SMS support. This dongle is manufactured by ZTE.

Ashok Ganapathy, Hub Chief Executive Officer said -

“We are betting big on data, as data is obviously exploding. There is an increasing demand for data in the country, and we are looking at catering to this space. We believe that speed is the value.”

Airtel’s 3G Wi-Fi dongles are powered by HSPA+ technology. These dongles are available in telecom circles such as Mumbai and Andhra Pradesh in the initial phase and will be expanded to other circles later.
