Xiaomi may launch its Indian operations on July 11

Xiaomi set to launch Indian smartphone market in the next week. It was also reported that the vendor has tied up with Flipkart to sell its devices exclusively in the country.
Report from Xiaomi said –
“A big thank you to all Mi Fans who showed your support and joined Mi at the start of our incredible journey. We have something special for YOU, do come back on 11 July 2014 for the announcement post.”
Xiaomi is expected to bring at least two smartphones in next two to three months in India.
Hugo Barra, Xiaomi’s vice president revealed that the vendor is planning to sell its smartphones with aggressive pricing via its own e-commerce website, similar to what it does in China.
Earlier this week the company announced that it sold 26.1 million smartphones in first half of 2014, exceeding the combined sales of both 2012 and 2013. It launched in Malaysia and the Philippines earlier this year and plans to expand to Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, Turkey, Brazil and Mexico by the end of 2014.
