Nexus 5 rolled out Android 4.4.4_r2 KitKat update in India, Australia & New Zealand
Google has just started rolling out its latest bug-fix update for Nexus 5 users in India, Australia and New Zealand with OTA firmware build number Android 4.4.4 KTU84Q. Google has officially named the update as “Android 4.4.4 KitKat MR2.2 / 4.4.4_r2”.
The firmware is currently restricted to select regions of the world and focuses on fixing issues with carrier networks or radio networks in those regions. Nexus 5 users who are residing in India, Australia or New Zealand can download the factory image for the new 4.4.4 Release 2 firmware with build number Android 4.4.4 KTU84Q.
Android 4.4.4_r2 release supports is only heading in three markets -
- New Zealanders on 2Degrees
- Aussies on Telsta
- India
To manually check for the Android 4.4.4_r2 KitKat update on your Nexus 5, head over to the ‘Software update’ tab under ‘About phone’ in the Settings menu.
Apart from the new KitKat build, Google has also started rolling out an update for its Glass wearable. The new release brings in various new features including an overhaul of the interface which now flaunts a cleaner appearance. Apart from this, connectivity has been improved along with network handling.
