Moto X – Gen 3 expected to launch in August/September, 2015

Motorola has been hard at work to bring us a new updated Moto X for this year, and we now know that we can expect it around August or September. The news comes from Motorola’s Rick Osterloh who responded to a Motorola fan in Twitter, confirming that the company would be sticking to their annual release schedule for the device.
Rick Osterloh twitted –
“Motorola was going to stay on a roughly annual cycle for all of our products, including Moto X.”
Motorola’s next flagship will be powered by the Snapdragon 810 SoC. The Moto X (Gen 3) may end up being that flagship, but that’s not a certainty.
We also expect that the Moto Maker feature will continue to be offered to Moto X customers looking to customize their hands, so we have to wonder if new materials will be offered as the backplate for this year as well.
