Xiaomi launches first smartphone Mi3 in India at Rs 14,999
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched its first device in India Mi3 which will be available for sale from July 15 onwards, as per the company’s India website page.
Xiaomi Mi3 smartphone appears as a rival to the Nexus 5.
Specifications of Xiaomi Mi3 are -

- Processor – 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800
- RAM – 2 GB
- OS – Android 4.3 Jelly Bean
- Internal Storage – 16 GB and is not expandable
- Rear Camera – 13MP camera with dual-LED flash
- Front Camera – 2 MP
- Connectivity – 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and NFC
- Battery – 3,050 mAh
- Thickness – 8.1 mm
- Weight – 145 grams
In the first quarter of 2014, Xiaomi was the third-biggest smartphone manufacturer in China, ahead of Apple, Sony, Huawei etc. Unlike most smartphone makers, the company earns profits via web-based services and sells its products online via its website.
